This Instruction contains the initial direction for the implementation of the Defense Acquisition system. DoDI 5000.02 will eventually cancel this issuance, which remains in effect, with content removed as it is cancelled or transitioned to a new issuance.

Enclosure 1, Acquisition Program Categories and Compliance Requirements, 5., Reporting Requirements, includes a set of tables related to Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) system requirements as well as Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting requirements. See Table 8 for the CSDR requirements. Table 9 summarizes the EVM application requirements based on the value of the contract and references the EIA-748 EVMS Standard. Table 10 summarizes the EVM reporting requirements and references the Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) Data Item Description (DID) DI-MGMT-81861A.

Also see DoDI 5000.85, Major Capability Acquisition, dated August 2020, that amends selected content in the DoDI 5000.02T. DoDI 5000.85 includes references on where to find the updated tables for the CSDR and EVM requirements. The updated EVM reporting requirements table replaces the IPMR DID with the Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis (IPMDAR) DID DI-MGMT-81861B.
