Design, Development, and Implementation of a Performance Management System

This workshop is intended for all individuals who are required to lead or participate in the design, development, and implementation of an effective Performance Management System. It is distinct from similar offerings, as it has been uniquely designed and constructed to offer an appropriate level of detail on all major facets and requirements of a performance-based management system, while enabling the participant to tailor the material to his or her particular situation. Therefore, the workshop is appropriate for individuals across a wide spectrum of experience levels and abilities.

The following major topical areas are addressed:

  • Basics of Earned Value Management
  • Organization of Project Work
  • Responsibility Assignment and Control Accounts
  • Planning Scheduling, and Budgeting
  • Accounting for Performance Measurement
  • Variance Calculation / Analysis / Forecasting and Reporting
  • Baseline Change Control
  • Development and approval of the System Description

In recognizing the broad array of topics covered in a relatively short timeframe, and the significance of these subject areas to successful project execution, only the most seasoned and experienced instructors are used for this course. This also enables the students to more fully immerse in the practical case studies and exercises, maximizing the learning experience in a limited amount of time.

Upon successful completion of the workshop, the participant is expected to be a capable and qualified major contributor to the development and implementation of an effective Performance Management System, including development and subsequent customer approval of the System Description.
