CAM Mentoring as Part of Integrated Baseline Review
Humphreys & Associates one-on-one control account manager (CAM) mentoring and mock interview sessions prepare CAMs and other project personnel for a customer review. H&A consultants use standard questionnaires and assessment methodologies to coach the CAMs in understanding their role and providing acceptable responses to interview questions so that they are comfortable with the interview process.
During a customer review, a CAM will need to be able to demonstrate they have a full understanding of their scope of work as well as how to use the EVMS to manage their work. They must also demonstrate a level of knowledge about EVM as well as the 32 guidelines in the EIA-748. The H&A consultants also perform a number of data traces with the CAM. This simulates the reviews that a customer review team will conduct.
